Sunday, December 5, 1993 LOMPOC On the Agenda Lompoc City Council Tuesday, Dec. 7, Regular Session 7 p.m. Roll Call: Invocation: Pledge to the Flag; Proclamations: 1. Councilmember Mary Leach presented a Certificate of Recognition to Roy Belluz, honoring him for his work the preservation of the Belluz House, on Nov. 19, 2.

Councilmember Bill Mullins presented a prociamation honoring Santa Barbara Mayor Sheila Lodge at a Tribute Party held on Nov. 21. 3. Mayor Joyce Howerton presented a prociamation declaring Dec. 1 World AIDS Day at a ceremenony held at the Lompoc Post Office.

4. Mayor Howerton presented a prociamation honoring David Lemon for his multiple contributions to the community at a Lompoc Valley Botanic and Horticultural Society Dinner held on Dec. 2 5. Councilmember Bill Mullins presented a prociamation honoring Comman Russian Strategic Rocket Forces General Colonel, Igor Dmitriyevich Sergeyev, at a Community Leaders Dinner held in Santa Maria on Dec. 2.

6. The City sent a proclamation honoring Santa Barbara County Elections Official Carol Aquistapace on her retirement to be presented at a dinner held on Dec. 4. Presentations: 1. Paratransit Insurance Corporation, 1992-93 Driver of the Year Award presentation to Jean Mousseau, Lompoc Transit.

2. Proclamations of a Commendation, in recognition of their outstanding Affirmative Action Effort, to be presented by the Affirmative Action Committee Vice-Chair, Rachel Valencia, to city employees Richard Delgadillo and Patrice Doctor. Employee suggestion awards will also go to Greg Axline, Roy Smith, Kimberly Storms and Joe Gonzales. 3. Col.

White, 83, of Vandenberg Village. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery, Hayward.

He died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1993, at Lompoc District Hospital. Mr. White was born May 14, 1910 in Red Bluff. He served in the U.S.

Army 1942-45. He moved to Hayward in 1955 and was employed with Pacific Gas and Electric for 30 years before retiring. He moved to Lompoc from Hayward in August. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kathryn White of Vandenberg Village; two daughters, Marilyn Hill of Vandenberg Village and Susan Misner of Lompoc; three grandchildren, five great -grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no mortuary visitation.

Contributions may be made to the Food Pantry of Lompoc, 512 North Lompoc 93436. Cremation arrangements are directed by Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Dawn Alban LOMPOC At her request, there will be no services for Dawn Marian Alban, 69, of Vandenberg Village. Burial will be private. She died Thursday, Dec.

2, 1993, at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Alban was born Jan. 14, 1924 in Rensselaerville, N. Y.

She attended Greenville High School in New York and Adele Hale Business College in Hutcheson, Kan. She moved to Lompoc from Presque Isle, Maine, in 1961. She was employed as a secretary at Vandenberg Air Force Base for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in New York and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority at VAFB and Vandenberg Village. Survivors! include her husband of 51 years, Bill Alban of Vandenberg Village; a son, David Alban, and a daughter, Sandra Shearer, both of Springlake, N.C.; two sisters, Marylou Wykoff of Florisant, and Jane Bennett of Schenectady, N.Y.; three grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rotary honors Durham Lompoc Rotary Club recently presented its 1993 Exemplary Service Award, Rotary's highest vocational award, to Tony Durham. This award is presented to a community resident who sets and maintains a high ethical standard in their profession and contributes free time in working for special needs of others to improve the quality of life within the community. Durham, a 20-year resident of Lompoc, has received a variety of recognition for service and leadership as a member of the California Highway Patrol station in Buellton. He has been a driving force behind the local high school's sober graduation program and post prom party. Hispanic lawmakers seek money for class LOS ANGELES (AP) Hispanic activists and lawmakers said they will seek federal funds to help transform immigrants into citizens as part of a campaign to ease antiimmigrant sentiments. The group said as immigrants become citizens, they integrate more into the existing culture of the country, reassuring Americans about the threat of immigration and reducing anti-immigrant sentiment. No leads on missing 4-year-old LOS ANGELES (AP): Police continued a round- the -clock search Saturday for a 4-year-old boy who disappeared from the downtown Greyhound bus station, but said they were finding few leads. Matthew Vera disappeared Friday while waiting for his mother, Rosa Sanchez, at the station's video arcade. She had gone to pick' up their luggage, said Los Angeles police Sgt. John Paige. Sgt.
