C6 Sunday, October 25, 2015 Lompoc Record Ruth Zuckerbraun William Orville Home Thomas F. Grace I960 -2015 Thomas F. Grace, 31 year resident of the March 24, 1926 -August 12, 2015 Ruth Zuckerbraun, 89, passed away on JKr' William Orville Home, 54, of Santa Santa Ynez Valley, peacefully passed on October 7, 2015 with family members by his side. Tom had waged a brief but valiant MgMHBt fight with cancer. -V jMJ! Tom was born on January 10, 1950 to iHiSBiJPlB' Elaine Mettler and Thomas Grace in Wednesday, August 12, 2015, in Santa Monica, California.

Born and raised in Minnesota on March 24, 1926, she was the youngest of six. As a child, she was active in sports, chorus, and was an excellent student. iviana, passea away on ucioDer 10, 2015. Willy was born in Santa Maria, California on November 12, 1960. Willy attended the majority of his grade school at Tunnel Elementary School, El Camino Junior High, and Santa Maria High School where he graduated.

After Graduating from Santa Maria High, Willy started work at Cal Coast Irrigation After high school, she attended the Riverside, CA. Following his graduation from high school, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and served in Vietnam. When his service was completed, he began attending college and graduated from Cal University of Minnesota where she met the I I I love of her life, husband of over 60 years, Alexander "Sandy" Zuckerbraun where he was a lab assistant in her chemistry class. She supported him as he completed both his PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, and his MD, at Yale University.

Ruth took on the role of and always had a positive and calm demeanor as she nurtured and guided her seven children which included: Driving them to several activities such as band, swimming, water polo, and water ballet practices, numerous swim competitions throughout the state, and several FFA activities. Also, she was den mother for cub scouts, and a girl scout leader. She was a generous person, and volunteered as a room mother at several schools, and at swim meets. She returned to support Alexander, Dr. as his Office Manager where she was "Mom" to many generations of patients and families in Santa Maria, California where they raised their family for over 50 years.

Ruth was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great -grandmother who was the matriarch of her beloved family. She is survived by her 7 children: 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter. Mrs. Zuckerbraun was buried alongside her love Silveria Cabacungan Gonzales and from there went to Weber Bread Co. where he worked as a distribution route driver for approximately 20 years.

Willy then worked for his father Buck Home at Airborne and DHL for a time. Willy loved going to Parkfield, CA, where his family owned a ranch, to spend time friends and loved ones. Willy loved hunting, fishing, and barbequing with friends and family. His belief was selflessness even when it seemed there was nothing to give. Willy is survived by his daughters Aubry Home and Annie Home and his son Buck Home.

He is also survived by his parents Buck and Joyce Home and two siblings; older sister Cindy Home and younger sister Malinda Home. Willy was preceded in death by his baby sister Bobby Kay Home. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10:00 to at the Chapel of Dudley Hoffman Mortuary. A Celebration of Willy's Life will be held after the memorial service from to at Ventura Park in Santa Maria. On October 9, 2015, at the age of 86, Silveria Cabacungan Gonzales passed away peacefully at Marian Extended Care with her family at bedside. She was born on June 20, 1929 in Luna, Isabela, Philippines. In 1988, she migrated to the United States to join her husband Andres. They worked Poly SLO with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Tom was hired by the former Santa Barbara Research Center (now owned by Raytheon) in 1980, where he met his future wife, Sherry. He worked in the Human Resources Department for 15 years, where he facilitated the hiring of over 1,000 employees. During this time, Tom developed an aptitude for computer systems. He moved to SBRC's IT Department, and continued in this field for the remainder of his career spanning over 35 years. At the time of his death, Tom was employed by as Manager Network Services, assigned to the Raytheon account in support of data and voice network systems for Raytheon North America.

Tom had three passions in life. The first was his devotion to his family. He was a loving and generous husband and father, always able to give a kind word, hug and kiss. He so enjoyed family reunions and get-togethers, attending annual reunions in the Yosemite area, where playing horseshoes and drinking beer was the order of the day, and boating trips to lakes in northern California. All the family members loved his wry humor and witty personality.

Tom's second passion was his work. He so looked forward to tackling the challenges presented to him. He made every effort to support his management by providing necessary information and offering suggestions to solve problems. Tom believed it was equally important to provide guidance, support and encouragement to his coworkers to attain new capabilities and learn additional procedures. Many of Tom's coworkers have said that Tom was the best boss they had ever had.

Tom's third passion was his love of the great outdoors. When younger, he and friends often backpacked into the high Sierras. After he and Sherry married, they frequently went camping and fishing locally and in California's gold country. Later, after the children came along, vacations involved road trips, when Tom relished exploring some 17 National Parks and Monuments with his family. Tom was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Steve Miller and brother Gerald Grace.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sherry of Santa Ynez, daughters Julie Grace of Sinclair, WY and Dana Grace of Santa Ynez. He is also survived by his sister, Nadean McGee of Lincoln, CA, brother-in-law Rick Slack of Santa Ynez, sister-in-law Madge Kyler and husband Jeff of Oakdale, CA, sister-in-law Sandra Grace of Oregon, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. The Grace family thanks the doctors, nurses and staffs at Sansum Clinic and Cottage Hospital for their dedicated attention and care to Tom. We also thank the Serenity House in Santa Barbara for providing wonderful care and comfort to Tom and family during his final days. Memorial services for Tom will be held at 10:30 a.m.

on October 26 at Loper Funeral Chapel, Ballard Country Church, 2465 Baseline Avenue, in Ballard, with internment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. She got married at 25 where she became a housewife and stood as the mother to her husband's 4 children and soon to add 6 children of their own. Her family will cherish and miss all the love and care she has provided for them.

Silveria is survived by her 9 children: Leticia, Romeo, Andres Vicente, Fernando, Urbano, Ignacia, Maxima, Elmer, her 36 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. She was recently preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Andres Gonzales on July 20, 2015.
